Friday night after work I went to Scotty's to see Willie P. Jeff and Christy were there and Moe stopped by. I am seeing people a little at a time. At this rate, it will take months to see all my old friends. It was fun and the weather was amazing. Saturday morning, went to Coral Reef to meet up with Denie, Mason and Reese and then after met Ashley and her Mom at Chocolate Fashion for lunch. Sunday, back to the storage unit and then saw "the Duchess" with Helen and Tatiana. Loved that movie. Saw an apartment at 90 Edgewater this morning. It might be the one.
Back at work again and afterwards got an invite to Denie and Mason's. Cynthia had fixed them dinner and they invited me to join. She made an amazing Greek meal and I finally got to meet Reese. She was so sweet but slept the whole time I was there.
Monday after some errands, I went back to work at Royal Caribbean. It was wierd to be back now that our department in community relations is just Helen and I. Got caught up with work and then moved my stuff into Tatiana's apartment. She is letting me stay with her until next week. I am starting my apartment search asap.
Driving home to Miami was very wierd. Going home without a home is not fun. I stopped by to see Helen, ate lunch with Amy, went to my storage unit and then headed to Meg's. She had some people over for dinner to welcome me home. See cake below. It was fun and I had my first overnight at her new house.
I am so bored with myself, all I have done is make necklaces, watch an enormous amount of television and answer voice mails from Royal Caribbean-that is not fun. I picked my parents up from the airport last night and today organized all my beads. As I said, not too much going on... I did get a wonderful infusion of cash this morning and promptly sent a check to my website guru Cara Marquis. She is starting next week and I am so excited. The new website will have a shopping cart so anyone can buy stuff on www.kristinpearce.com at any time. It is really about time. Leaving Sunday for my final drive..back to Miami. I can't beleive I am almost home! Dying to meet Denie and Mason's baby, born Monday. She is so cute.
After hanging out since Tuesday, I was getting a little bored. Then Ashley and Meg came to the rescue. Meg flew in Friday morning and I picked her up at the airport and then we headed to my favorite place to eat here, KP's. How funny.. We had yummy lunch, got locked out of my parent's house and then got in right in time for Ashley's arrival. We freshened up and headed out to Amelia Island Plantation and the cute shops around. We shopped for a bit and then ate dinner at the Verandah. Got home early and got in pajamas and lounged for the rest of the night. Saturday morning, we headed to Jacksonville for more shopping. First stop San Marco, where Ashley and Meg found a great maternity clothing store. They were trying stuff on and Ashley put in a pillow to see how things will look later on, she looks bigger than Meg in the pictures and we were dying laughing.
After San Marco, we drove to Avondale and then out to Ponte Vedra for dinner at some place Meg had been to a million years ago.
We got home, regrouped and made it out again for ice cream later. Sunday morning, we went to breakfast and then they both left. So much fun to see the girls...I can't belive I only have one week left before heading home.
Left North Carolina in the morning and got to the kennel to rescue Millie around 3:30. She was so excited to get in the car. Now I am unpacking the car and will be here until my parents get home. Will leave for Miami on the 21st.
I left and got on the road yet again to Cornelius, North Carolina to stay with Kelly and Robb-Meg's brother and sister-in-law. It was Catherine's birthday today, so my timing was good to catch the celebration. She went shopping with me at Birkdale so I could go to Poppie's-my favorite store. We got her Princess glasses for the trip. Leaving tomorrow for Amelia Island and to rescue Millie from the kennel.
I finally got my tour of the oil pumps in the middle of nowhere. I saw the oil bubbling out of the ground, green in color, smelled the natural gas and saw the salt water. We were on the bumpiest, scariest roads and we covered a lot of ground. Lunch at Bob Evans-very fancy..watched "there will be blood" and then went out for wings. We were in a food coma when we got home. Yikes.
We went to run errands in the morning and ended up at Gail's house with delicious coffee cake. Alexandra was decked out in her rain gear since it was pouring-effects of Hurricane Hannah. We went to Cheeburger Cheeburger for lunch and then I was on the road again heading west to the lovely state of West Virginia. I found Ryan's house with the help of On Star and arrived around 7pm. After my tour and meetintg his new dog Cinder, we went to Mexican for dinner.
Got up and headed on the train back to Pelham Manor to my car. On the road to Richmond and arrived around 4:30. Whitney and I went to the mall and met up with Gail, Jim and Caroline for dinner. It was great to see everyone.
Got up early and hung out with Jordan before we headed out uptown for lunch at Fred's. I did some shopping after and then headed back down town to meet up with my friend Jacob from college. It was great to catch up with him-reconnected through FACEBOOK of course. Natalia, Nicole and I went to Blue Ribbon Sushi and it was yummy. We watched McCain's speech and then went to bed.
Wednesday, we went over to Lisa's with Jordan and hung out there. Lisa and I went to Bubby's for lunch and then walked around Soho. We met up with Nicole and got our nails done sitting right next to Christy Turlington and her daughter. Great celeb sighting. We ate Thai food at home and watched the convention.
Tuesday, after hanging out with Barrett for music hour, I went to the Packing place to ship my boxes. The price was so scary, I won't mention it here. I had to return my cable box, pick up jewels left at CK Bradley and then shower and get on the road. I made it to New York around 4:30 and left my car at a friend's, took the train and got to Nicole and Marcello's around 6pm. Their new place is spectacular and it was very fun to see Jordan, talking and all over the place. We ate in and caught up...
