Saturday morning I went to a baby shower for my sweet friend Corey. She is having a boy and her Mom's friends threw her a lovely shower. So excited for her and Rene. Please notice the necklace I am wearing. This happens to be the most beautiful piece I have ever created in my opinion. I have been trying to sell it for 3 weeks.
Saturday evening, I went to a shower for my other equally sweet friend Hadley. Her wedding is in 2 weeks and her sister and dear friend Elizabeth hosted a very fun party for her and her fiance Sean. The party went on late..
So for the party, I decided to add a clasp on the necklace and double it and then at the party, it sold. The lucky recipient was the bride's Mother, Miss Sue. It looked fabulous on her!
My plans for the rest of my weekend didn't go so well. I was determined to finish painting my bedroom and get organized but I don't really think I will ever be finish organizing!
Sunday afternoon, I went to a cocktail party to see an old friend who was in town, Morgan. I met Morgan on our trip with Spinning Spokes in 1986. A group of us went to Europe on a bike tour. (I actually rode a bike all through Europe) One day we rode 49 miles-it was one of the longest days in my life. I don't think I would be signing up for a trip like that now, but at the time, we had an absolute blast. Here is a pic of Denie, Morgan and I. The party was a lot of fun and great to catch up with old friends.
Sunday night, I did paint some of my bedroom. I have given myself until the end of the month to finish all my apartment projects. It might not be enough time!
