All about Make-A-Wish

I am feeling better but still congested, I wish someone would come up with a cure for the common cold. How hard could it be? My part-time job at Royal Caribbean has turned into overdrive and I feel like I should bring a sleeping bag so I don't waste time driving there and back we have so much work to do. Royal Caribbean has a partnership with Make-A-Wish, seeing that so many children want to cruise as their "wish". This weekend, I am sailing on the Liberty of the Seas hosting 9 Make-A-Wish families from all over the country for a week cruise! The bon voyage party is tomorrow at our offices and then Saturday morning, we are having a "Family Day on the Deck" event with the local Make-A-Wish chapter onboard. We sold out and almost 500 people are attending! I am staying onboard and cruising out of Miami, I can't wait! Even though I will be working, there will be some down time and I will be picking a lounge chair and slapping my name on it asap. I should have wi-fi in my room, so hopefully I will be able to blog as I go. I will keep you posted!

Also, thanks for the very sweet get well messages. You all are so nice!

Enjoy yourself! And take some pride in the wonderful thing you are doing!!! You are making a wish come true for somebody who doesn't usually get their wishes granted and that's just amazing, even if it is your job!!! You are helping these families make memories that will last forever, even if their children only last a little while longer - that's soooo special! If I move back to the US, I would love to take my fundraising background and go work there - it's soooo important! Have a great time!

Have a wonderful time! A dear friend of mine is a wish granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and just loves her job. It's such a special organization!
