One of my favorite places in Newport is the Cooke House. Located on Bannister's Wharf, this staple of Newport dining is well located, accomodates a large number of people and has various bars throughout the restaurant. It has tons of boating paraphenelia all around. The people watching is excellent and there are always lots of cute boys, which is why it is one of my favorites.
Tara and I took her Mom there for lunch on Friday. It was delicious and the weather was perfect, most of the restaurant is open and half outdoors.
Saturday night, we all went out to the usual spots. I wore my new dress and I am loving it. It comes in a few different patterns, I have my eye on 2!
I am surviving without the diet coke, but it has been a challenge. Tara made me a huge pitcher of Crystal Light raspberry green tea, which I have gulped down by the gallon. Everyone has been encouraging, so that has been helpful. You would have thought I was addicted to serious drugs, not just a little can of diet coke every once in a while!
