Getting Ready for Prom

For months, our Beaux Arts Ball committee has been hard at work planning our big party, collecting silent auction items and thinking of what to wear. Prom, our theme this year, has been so much fun and we have certainly taken it to the next level. We rented out the gymnasium at Gulliver Prep (which adding to the authenticity of the event, smells like high school), scattered a ton of balloons and streamers in a slightly more sophisticated way than in 1989, sparkly tablecloths (which I would love to swipe) and a black and white dance floor. I can't wait to see it all finished tomorrow and everyone in their prom gear.

As a bonus, I scanned a picture of me in my prom dress, circa 1989. Please notice the fashion statement I was making, black chintz floral Laura Ashley strapless dress WITH pockets...I absolutely loved this dress and it is still hanging in my closet!

OMG I love this post! Am I crazy to think if you chopped off that dress you could totally wear it as a cute little summer sundress now? LOVE IT!
We are doing "A Night in Paris" for our Silent Auction theme this year and I can't wait. I'm doing everything in pinks and blacks. Can't wait!
