Music to My Ears

I have become obsessed with my Ipod and buying music these days. I take pride in thinking that my Ipod is filled with the BEST music (everyone thinks this) and I can't drive anywhere without it hooked up to my car. The problem is that I am so busy listening to my songs on my iPod, I don't hear new music that often...

So, one afternoon at the beach a couple of weeks ago, our friend John showed up with a cooler that had a built in radio/iPod player. He put Pandora on the Coldplay channel and it made our day at the beach fantastic. When I got back to work, I started playing Pandora on my computer and have to keep stopping to write down all the songs I like and then download them when I get home. So fun. Very convenient that my sister-in-law gave me a few ITunes gift cards for my birthday.

This is a far cry from my high school/college days when I would fall in love with a song on the radio, rush out to buy the $12 CD, add that one song to my ongoing mixed tape and never touch the CD again. This happened a lot, so I have a ton of CDs that are one hit wonders collecting dust somewhere in my apartment.

So basically, the iPod is just one really fantastic mixed tape, with a little technology advancement thrown in. You can borrow it anytime! xo

KP can't agree with you more! The ipod is the longest running mixed tape...and you can build mini-mixed tapes within it thanks to playlists. Anyhow---pandora is great, and I am also a fan of keeping lists of songs to download on my never know where you will be when you hear a "must have". xo

Love pandora for running!!! It is a great way to mix things up and exercise to something new. And such an improvement from my days in college when I would run with my discman and it would keep skipping!
