I have been trying to go through my files of magazine tear outs and you can't imagine some of the things I have pulled out over the years. I have found everything from recipes (I don't cook that often), pictures of engagement rings (I am not even dating anyone..so I have some time for that type of research), house magazine pictures (a ton of these..I love them and look at them over and over in my portfolio books), lists of books from different magazines (some are so old, they would probably be $.99 on Amazon by now), articles on Gwyneth, Jackie, Princess Diana and Vince Vaughn (all obsessions at one point or another-my Vince Vaughn meeting is worthy of it's own post), LOTS of pictures of jewelry for inspiration and random fashion layouts. One picture in particular I have always loved is this one below. I have held onto it for years.
The photographer told the girls to walk back and forth doing double-takes because they had the same dress on. I love this black dress with the cap sleeves and bow. This picture prompted some fashion research online and I have to say 50's fashion photography is by far my favorite. These models are so beautiful and the clothes are to die for.
