Loving Colin Firth

Having always liked Colin Firth, my interest in him has reached a fever pitch these last few weeks with him in the spotlight for his amazing work in The King's Speech. He has been around for a long time, many times playing pivotal roles in terrific movies and he seems to just keep getting better.

the title character in Valmont (1989)

Simon in Circle of Friends (1995)
The most amazing Mr. Darcy...he makes the 6 hour BBC mini-series worth watching. (1995)

Geoffrey Clifton in The English Patient (1996)
Hated his character Lord Wessex in Shakespeare in Love (1998)

Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones' Diary..one of my favorite all-time movies (2001)

Jack Worthing in The Importance of Being Earnest (2002)

Johannes Vermeer in The Girl with the Pearl Earring (2003)
Jamie Bennett in Love Actually (2003)

Harry in Mamma Mia (2008)

George in A Single Man (2009)

His amazing performance in The King's Speech is earning him all sorts of accolades..he and the film just swept up the BAFTA awards..hopefully an Oscar is next. (2010)

My fingers are crossed for Colin on February 26th at the Academy Awards!!!
