She had us help fill the glass containers with sand, glass pebbles and candles.
She had attached spoons to glasses with ribbon for dessert..so cute
There wasn't much else to do..she had really prepared well for this event. We took a driving tour of Baltimore and when we got back..things had really progressed.
The flowers arrived...
The bar was all set up..
The dining room table ready..
We set up the tables outside. How cute are the tablecloths??
The weather was perfect after threatening dark skies all afternoon..the caterers took over the kitchen and we all got ready for the party. When the first guests arrived, Hoby turned into "Bartie", his name in Baltimore..so funny.

The Courting Bench..Hoby promised me a hundred times that it was super sturdy and the last party there were 10 people bouncing on it. I wasn't so sure and stayed away..some other people weren't so lucky. You can read about what happened on Christina's blog here.

The dining room table when the main course was served..the food was so delicious and people were crowding the table forever...
And then..the passed chocolate mousse in Dede's cute set ups.
The party was so much fun..lots of Southsides and garden party-type cocktails. I had a costume change later in the evening...Hoby was celebrating his invitation to sail to Newport on a huge yacht..he arrives on Friday. So jealous!!!
What a fun weekend..I had the best time. Besides eating too much, it was perfect. Thanks to Dede for inviting me to her amazing party and to Hoby and Christina for including me in their Memorial Day extravaganza..very fun travel partners! xo
