One of my favorite things about Instagram is how many artists are there actively displaying all their latest work.  So many of the watercolor illustrators draw up runway looks from Fashion Week and they have been whipping up version of Red Carpet looks on the spot.  It is so fun...

Academy Awards 2017 Highlights

The Academy Awards is my Super Bowl.  I was so excited to get situated and ready to watch.  The Red Carpet was interesting this year..some really cool dresses but nothing I really loved. I can't wait to watch Fashion Police because they usually LOVE one that didn't really stand out on TV but in person was really spectacular.

Right before it started at 8:30, I saw this on Instagram...

Meaning..Gwyneth will not be at the Oscars.  So sad...

But Karlie Kloss in Stella McCartney was looking a little Gwyneth-esque.

Kirsten Dunst in Christian Dior Haute Couture

Nicole Kidman in Armani Prive-so beautiful

Jessica Biel in Kaufman Franco

Taraji P. Henson in Alberta Ferretti

Hailee Steinfeld in Ralph & Russo

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton and Busy Phillips in Elizabeth Kennedy

Leslie Mann in Zac Posen

Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton

Dakota Johnson in Gucci

Olivia Culpo in Marchesa

Darby Stanchfield in Georges Chakra

Emma Stone in Givency

Janelle Monae in Elie Saab

Brie Larson in Oscar de la Renta

Viola Davis in Armani Prive

Some of my favorite moments...

The opening number with JT..so fun

The tour bus folks coming through the front row...

The candy dropping from the ceiling...

It was all so amazing until Warren Beatty messed it up and named La La Land as Best Picture, everyone was excited and the speeches started and then a bunch of men came up grabbing envelopes and then embarassingly, they named Moonlight as the Best Picture.  Crazytown...

Love the Oscars,

Stamps with Style

The United States Post Office has come out with a line of beautiful stamps honoring Oscar de la Renta.  The stamps are a mix of dress design patterns and pictures of actual dresses.  They are really stunning.

Back in my bridal consultant days, I always used to worry that when the time came for my wedding, there wouldn't be any pretty stamps available.  These would definitely be worth stockpiling.  Of course, now many years later, with custom stamps available, that is no longer a worry and since I do not have a wedding currently being planned, I can rest easy.   With Forever stamps, you can buy them and they hold the current value of the first class stamp.

Stamp away,

This popped up in my Facebook feed today, this pretty girl is missing and her Mom is fearing that she has fallen in to the hands of human traffickers.  This is a topic that most people don't know that much about but it is apparently happening all the time.  After seeing the movie Taken with Liam Neeson, it should be terrifying everyone.

Downloading an app called TraffickCam is one way you can help.

Using your camera phone with this app, any time you check into a hotel, you can take 4 specific pictures and upload them into the app.

The idea is that by cataloging the background specifics of hotel rooms (carpet, wallpaper, furniture, etc..) they can help identify where victims are that are in any type of online videos posted on the web.  The database of pictures is growing by the day.

For someone who travels a lot, you could make such a difference using this app.

Hoping Alexis is found ok,
